Towns we serve / Mercer County
Mercer County, floor by floor.
Trenton, Princeton, Hamilton and the towns between. The western leg of the route, where older housing stock and university-area rentals keep carpet and hardwood work steady. Every town below gets its own page with local detail and a straight cost guide, because that is how we work: specific to the house in front of us.
Trenton
Expect narrow two- and three-story brick rowhomes with steep enclosed staircases, original hardwood under aging wall-to-wall carpet, and one of the highest tenant-occupied rates in Mercer County.
Princeton
Pre-war homes in the Western Section and around Palmer Square carry formal staircases, wool wall-to-wall, and antique area rugs, while faculty and graduate rentals closer to campus turn over with the academic year.
Hamilton
The core stock is 1950s-to-1970s capes and split-levels with carpeted stairs and bedrooms, plus newer developments around Hamilton Square where original builder-grade carpet is reaching replacement age.
Lawrenceville
Expect 19th-century homes with original wood floors in the village, postwar colonials and splits off Princeton Pike, and a large share of two- and three-story townhomes near Route 1 and Quaker Bridge where the staircase is always carpeted.
Ewing
Compact Cape Cods and ranches dominate, with one staircase at most, original hardwood under the carpet in many bedrooms, and concentrated student-rental blocks near the TCNJ campus off Pennington Road.
Hightstown
Expect tall, narrow Victorians and early-20th-century homes near Main Street with multiple staircases and original softwood or oak floors, plus a smaller ring of mid-century homes toward the borough edges.
